    • Today's lunch is BBQ Rib on a Hoagie, Seasoned Corn & Fresh Fruit.
    • The Rainier Cross Country Team will be hosting a 5k obstacle course fun run on Saturday, Oct 11th beginning at 10:00. Cost is $ 25 and and includes a t-shirt. If your interested in running please see Mr. Henry for a registration brochure.
    • The Rainier Lions Club is cleaning up the roadside this Saturday beginning at 9:00am. They are meeting at Rainier Chapel. This is a great way to get some of those service hours done.
    • FFA is hosting a 5th quarter on Friday after the football game. The doors will open at 9 and close 1/2 hour after the game ends. The evening will cost $3.00 a person and there will be music, friends and water provided. We will close up at 11pm, so make sure your ride is there to pick you up then. See Sarah Mantegna and Annalisa Moore with questions.
    • Online voting for Homecoming Royalty is now open.  Check out the webpage.  Just a reminder, you may only vote for your class and must have an ASB card.
    • Skills USA meeting today at lunch in the shop.
    • Corsage and bout orders forms are available in the office for homecoming.
    • FFA bulb order forms are due Today. Make sure to turn your money into Beth in the office.
    • Those that are selected as royalty at next Friday's lunch assembly need to meet Mrs. Rossmaier at 8 a.m. on Monday, October 6 in room 235. This is when you will find out the details of the half-time show.
    • Guest passes for homecoming dance are due to Mrs. Rossmaier by 3 p.m. on Friday, October 3.
    • We can now put plastic water/pop bottles and cans in the recycle bins. Please remove the plastic caps from the bottles before discarding.
    • The espresso cart is up and running, stop by between 7:45 and 8:15.
    • REF would like an Art Mural painted on the wall in their new Portable.  Submissions for the mural contest need to be turned in by Today.  See Ms. Azzarella for more info!
    • Plan to join us for our Homecoming Dance on October 11. It will be "Under the Sea" with the colors of teal, green and silver from 8:30-11:30 in the old gym. Cost is $10 w/ASB and $15 without ASB if bought before 3 p.m. October 10 and $20 at the door. The dance rules are in your handbook and guest passes (that are available on line) are due to Mrs. Rossmaier by October 3. Remember the guest passes need to be completed by your guest's school and returned by the due date, please don't ask Melissa and Beth to do the faxing for you, get the pass to your guest for completion.     • Looking for service hours? the Rainier Community Garden can use your help on Saturday mornings from 9 to 12. See Mrs. Karnes with questions.
    • The Rainier Food Bank needs volunteers to help carry out groceries on Saturdays from 9-12.

  • Counselor's Corner:
    • Seniors - The Ewing C. Kelly Scholarship application is now available in the counseling center. This scholarship is based on citizenship, academic achievement and financial need. Applications must be postmarked by March 10, 2015.
    • An admission representative from Saint Martin's University will be here Thursday, October 2nd at 9:30 a.m. If you are interested in attending St. Martin's, this is a great opportunity for you to have your questions answered! Sign up to attend in the counseling office.
    • An admission's person from Central Washington University will be visiting RHS on Wednesday, October 29 at 10:00 a.m. (during advisory). If you would like to listen to her presentation, sign up in the counseling office.
