Goals
Assure each student demonstrates academic growth
- The Rainier School Board analyzes multiple measures of assessment data throughout the school year. The analysis focuses on academic growth of students with the goal of all students making a year’s growth or more each year.
This goal is measured by agenda items, the board’s calendar, and meeting minutes and through the use of data.
Model professional growth and development
- The Rainier School Board participates in professional growth, as a board, through attendance at WSSDA trainings/regional meetings, the Annual WASA/WSSDA Legislative Conference, and through a series of board work sessions involving the current district initiative as related to the “School House” model
This goal is measured by agenda items, the board’s calendar, and meeting minutes.
Maintain communication and visibility within the district
- Each board member will support the work of the district by actively participating on at least one district committee (such as the 1:1 committee or the insurance committee) or at least one local service group (such as REF, Booster Club, Lions, RCC, etc).
