• Hello, welcome to my website.  My name is Kayla Mounts and this is my 7th year at Rainier Elementary. I really feel that the RSD is a precious gem and I am blessed to work in a great place with amazing admin.  Third grade this year will be fun and exciting for our Rainier students because LEARNING IS AWESOME.  One thing I would love to stress to parents and students is K-2 is for learning to read and now that you are in 3rd grade, 3rd-5th is reading to learn.  Third grade is the beginning of a beautiful journey and we are all taking the ride together.  Let's tackle this adventure together, as a team, and a community of learners that gather together daily to take on the world.
